Antique English Silverplate Victorian Melon Shaped Teapot

Length: 11” Ht: 5-1/8”. Offered for sale without reserve is an absolutely beautiful, Victorian tea pot. As seen in the scan this piece has a delightful melon shape. The teapot is well-made, and has some tremendous decoration. You will note the beautiful knob and raised feet. I have not tried to polish this piece because I do not want to remove any more of the silver plating. As seen the copper base metal can’t be seen coming through at many places. The teapot has a very nice monogram also as seen in the scan. The piece is not marked, which leads me to believe that this might be American made. But I am not sure. I can only imagine how wonderful this piece would look if someone took the time to replace it. It is likely an earlier piece because the insulators on the handle appeared to be bone.
