Ashton Drake Gene Marshal Doll, “Unforgetable”, “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”, 1999

Description

This is a 15” fashion character doll from the Gene Marshal Collection created by Mel Odom, and produced exclusively under the hallmark of The Ashton-Drake Galleries. She is handcrafted of vinyl, bends at the elbows and knees, and comes with a certificate of authenticity, number 482, but I don’t know the number of dolls in this edition. Released in 1999, designed by Dolly Cipolla, the mermaid-style Circa 1957 dress she is wearing was named “Unforgettable”, inspire by a dress worn by Marilyn Monroe from the movie “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”.
Her condition is like new, purchased from a collectible shop. She was displayed in the box in a glass case in the shop, I have never displayed her, she’s been stored in her original box since I bought her years ago.
