Object description :
To your attention a huge antique teapot F.B. Rogers Silver Co Trademark 1883. FB Rogers Silver on Copper was a silverware and silver plated company founded in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts in 1883. It was purchased by Edmund W. Porter and L. B. West, who incorporated the company and moved manufacturing operations to Taunton, Massachusetts in 1886. The company was known as the West Silver Company and made silverware for the William Rogers Manufacturing Company in Hartford, Connecticut. The company used many different grades over the years. One of them is a crown with the number 18 on the left and 83 on the right (for 1883). In 1955 it became a division of the National Silver Company. The kettle is big. Height -28 cm, capacity 1 liter 300 ml. Floral ornament - handmade. Stamp on the bottom and number. In excellent condition after so many years! Definitely will be a decoration and a highlight of serving. A necessary and useful purchase for the family.
